Dr. Wayne Dyer on “Ellen”–practice Kindness!

Last week, I watched the Ellen show and was so pleased with her guest, Dr. Wayne Dyer.  He pleases me by his existence anyway, but  Is this the calmest man ever?–ok, Mr. Rogers was pretty calm, but Wayne Dyer is amazing.  I love listening to him.  This was a return visit to the show.  A month before, he had been on the Ellen show and talked about everyone trying to perform an act of kindness. (I did not see that show.)  This was the same audience, returning, and there were video clips of guests telling what they had done.  They were such simple things–one woman saw a homeless person with children, and gave them some of her kids’ clothes; another started leaving her recyclables for the man who used them to earn money.  Letting someone go ahead of them in lines, in lanes, little acts of kindness that can make a big difference.  When you think about the anger and hurt in the world, this is a wonderful way to change this.  What if the next time someone was rude to us, we silently blessed them? Wayne Dyer practices kindness everyday.  Why can’t we?  Change the world, one smile and blessing at a time.  I know this sounds simple and naive, but can we really keep going the way we have?
